Parents are expected to inform us via phone, email, or message if their child will be absent from school due to any reason (illness, injury, travel, etc.).
PREPARING YOUR CHILD FOR PRESCHOOL EDUCATION
While many children may be excited to join other children and participate in fun activities they have seen during previous school visits, some may feel unhappy about saying goodbye to their parents. Here are some tips to help ease the transition into preschool education for your child:
- Relax! It's important for both your child and you, as parents, to feel ready and free from anxiety during the transition into school life.
- Before your child starts preschool, talk to them about it in the same way you would talk about exciting places or people they are looking forward to seeing.
- If your decision is "we are going to school" but your child still says, "I don't want to go to school," this can lead to ongoing arguments and a negative perception of school.
- During the orientation process, when dropping off your child at school, say "goodbye, have a great day with your teachers" as you leave them with their teacher.
HELPFUL INFORMATION FOR THE ORIENTATION PROCESS
- Ensure your child arrives at school on time. Our teachers prepare important and enjoyable presentations during the morning circle time at 09:30.
- Consistent arrival and departure times are crucial for your child's sense of security.
- Avoid speaking loudly outside the school premises and engage in conversations with other parents outside the school building.
- Pay attention to the safety of children in the parking area after picking up your child from school.
