Regardless of the weather conditions, our children spend a certain amount of time in the garden every day. In order to make this garden time enjoyable for all children and ensure safer experiences, we would like to request your sensitivity and cooperation on the following points:
When parents come to pick up their children (while waiting for their playtime to end), we expect them to wait near the walls rather than occupying the children's space.
Adults take up more space compared to children. As a school, we make sure not to have an excessive number of teachers in the garden. We expect you, especially during crowded hours, not to narrow down the playing areas for other children by swinging or sliding, etc.
We want the garden time to be equally enjoyable for every student whose parents come to pick up or drop off by bus. Therefore, we ask you to be empathetic in the garden and refrain from intervening in any processes among the children, either in favor or against any child.
The most important duty of teachers in the garden is to observe children's play and engage in activities with them whenever possible. For their safety, we ask you to minimize personal questions and evaluations about the day and to help ensure that the teachers' observation process is not disrupted.
We are all striving to develop healthy eating and snacking habits for our children. As a school, we have been unwavering on this issue from the very beginning, and we share with you the points where we stand firm. We kindly request that you do not offer any food or snacks, whether inside the garden or immediately outside where other children can see, to children (even if they are your own). Additionally, we expect you to be mindful of not giving any substance (such as gum, candy, etc.) within the garden that we prefer not to be given and to entrust it to the teachers or parents to be given to remaining children when they leave, so as not to put them in a difficult situation.
We thank you in advance for your sensitivity and cooperation.
